On Thursday, April 3rd, 2008, over 500 people celebrated the 10th Annual Tourism Awards at Carmen's Banquet Centre. The gala's theme was It's Show Time and was an event to remember!

The Marketing Award – Brochure or Promo Piece category, topped by the CIMT's entry, was one of the most hotly contested of the show.

Other nominees included, Brott Music Festival, Ancaster Old Mill, Brownies Downtown Fine, Food & Spirit, Hamilton Eat Local Project, Downtown Hamilton B.I.A., Royal Botanical Gardens, Hamilton's Mustard Festival, International Village B.I.A., Haunted Hamilton Ghost Walks, Hamilton Hub Minor Hockey, Puddicombe Estate Farms & Winery, Fiddlers 3 Rhythm Chapter CD, and Hamilton Waterfront Trust.

In addition to this nomination, the Canadian International Military Tattoo's new Web site was up for Best Web Site of the Year; and the organization was also a nominee in the Business Award – Event or Festival category.

This marks the latest in a number of awards won by the Tattoo through the years.

The Canadian International Military Tattoo wishes to thank Tourism Hamilton for this recognition and to invite everyone to this year's shows taking place in June at Copps Coliseum, Hamilton, Ontario. Get more information here.
