Hamilton Spectator Letters to Editor June 2003
"We were fortunate to see the Hamilton International Tattoo last weekend. We have been faithful attendees for many years and have never seen a finer production. From the massed pipes and drums, the Salvation Army Band, and the US Drill Tea m to the super commentary, etc. It was a wonderful show. D.M. Dundas"

"Last evening we had the pleasure of attending a performance we
will never forget. As long-time enthusiasts of tattoos (for years we
never missed a Halifax Tattoo), we have enjoyed many top-notch shows
- yours included - but the excellence last night of so many groups in
one show was almost overwhelming. We have the feeling that your tattoo
this year can never be equaled, anywhere., And this opinion come from
years of watching VCR tapes at home, of Edinburgh, Halifax, and many
English performances. This letter is just to say thank you, sincerely,
for putting in the effort to organize a show of this caliber. The music
was great, the program moved along briskly, the dancers were lovely, the
bands were a joy to hear, and the professional discipline of the various
drill routines was riveting. We don't expect to ever see a better performance
in the fture. Thank you again, and good luck with organizing next year's
program." A tattoo spectator.

"Last Saturday we again
attended the Hamilton Tattoo, and as in previous years, it was a magnificent
show. Even as one parks the car and enters the arena, there seems to
be a feeling which we experience in Hamilton during that evening. One
of the highlights of the Tattoo is of course your young energetic ladies, but
know that without your leadership and drive and your ability to design wonderful
dances, it just would not be the same. Time and time again I marvel at how you
come up with something fresh and exciting, and I well remember the 1995 Tattoo
in Toronto, when I participated with over 900 Scottish Country Dancers. Please
pass on our congratulations and appreciation for a very well done performance
and for a very good night out. Many thanks, sincerely, I.B. Toronto"
