Connecting Canadians To Their Military Through Music
The Canadian International Military Tattoo is pleased to announce that Laurie Seager, a long-time volunteer, has been named as an FEO Volunteer of the Year at the annual awards ceremony on March 6, 2009. Joan Balinson, Executive Director for the Tattoo stated “Laurie’s presence in the Tattoo office and at our numerous events is a given. I always know that if I ask her to do a task it will be done promptly, and with no fuss. She is the type of volunteer one wants to have as she is responsible, makes decisions and every effort to be part of a team. Laurie has set a standard of volunteer service which is difficult to find in today’s busy world. Without the time, enthusiasm and initiative Laurie puts forward, the Tattoo would require more volunteers to keep it running smoothly”.
Congratulations to Laurie for a well-deserved award.
The Canadian International Tattoo is pleased to offer specially priced tickets to our June 2009 show to veterans or members of the armed forces at $15 per person for the regular price of one adult ticket.

May, 2008 the Canadian International Military Tattoo launched Volume 1, Issue 1 of their new official newsletter, The Chanter. The name was chosen both for its meaning as a singer or songster as well as the obvious fit for the organization, as the flute or finger pipe part of a bagpipe on which the melody is played. The publication will be published regularly. The debute issue features a welcome from CIMT's Chairman, news and a Q and A section. Read the May 2008 issue here. |
