Site Development
The Tattoo would like to recognize the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation, whose funding has helped enable our Web development and marketing material creative initiatives.
In designing the new Web site for the Canadian International Military Tattoo the user experience has been of paramount importance. A pleasant-to-look-at design is coupled with a navigation system that is easy to use, consistent across all pages and accessible from any area of the site. Images are used at the top left of content pages as visual cues. Most of the text resides on a white background for ease of reading.
To encourage interactivity with our viewership, we are adding a variety of multimedia features such as embedded video clips, lightbox image viewers and various JavaScript innovations.
The site has been optimized for 1028 x 768 pixel or higher screen resolution displays. CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) and XHTML code renders properly in most modern mainstream browsers. We try to accommodate earlier versions of popular browsers that are one to two generations behind current versions.
